Verbenas and Yoyos

Verbena Edited Feb 18 2013I love Verbena, delicate little flowers that come in many colors.  They call to my mind the Yoyos that many coverlets were made of through the years.  I took the photo of the Verbenas in my garden and decided to print on fabric, paint to deepen the colors, and then add  to a wall hanging with the yoyos.

This quilted wall hanging is 25″ X 25;”  machine pieced and top-stitched.  Completed Feb. 18, 2013.

    Judy, I have a zip lock bag filled with yoyos to use on the victorian crazy quilt blocks I enjoy
