Puns Intended: The sorry state of our political affairs.

When the Anthony Weiner scandal was in the news, all my friends were saying, “What was he thinking?”  We’re not a group of holier-than-thous who have never done something wrong; but as my tourist from nowhere says, “GEEZ!”  It’s really interesting to think what these men are thinking.  What are the psychological components of these situations that lead an intelligent, accomplished man down this path?  Sometimes it seems they must just be lonesome — not an excuse for their actions; but look, it seems they all spent days, weeks away from family, wives, their long-time close friends and communities.  Oh, who knows — they probably don’t even know why they did what they did.  And neither do I.

This  QuiltToon™ is 30″ X 21″.  Machine pieced and embroidered.  Hand and machine appliquéd and top-stitched.  Completed July 2011.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.

Oh, Judy, I understand what you’re saying. I know two former law-inforcement officers you could add to that group. . . Meow

  2. Joyce Loewen says:

I had a “I’m sorry” quote where the parenthesis are.

You are busy! The ills of our society are indeed frustrating and unbelievable! ” just doesn’t’ cut it does it? It must be fun to use your artistic gifts to channel your thoughts & feelings. Good job!
