Celebrating 20 Years of Helping Children

I was honored and privileged to be asked to make this QuiltToon to help Double ARC celebrate its 20 years of service to children and families who are coping with fetal alcohol disorders. Children who are exposed to alcohol in the womb struggle mightily  to achieve success in all areas of their life — family life, school, sports and, as adults, with work.  Double ARC is the agency in Toledo, Ohio that works specifically with children and families to help the children succeed.  September is Fetal Alcohol Month.  Remind all women who are of child-bearing age to NOT drink if they want to become pregnant or are pregnant.

Quilttoon is approximately 20″ X 26″.  It is machine and hand appliquéd and embroidered.  Embellished with buttons.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.

  1. Thanks, Judy, for this beautiful gift and for reminding people that children with FASD can succeed but only with lots of support.
