Photos and Fabrics a Challenge

red leavesI’m still working on learning how to print some of my photos on fabric and then making small fiber art quilt wall hangings.    This one incorporates “rag quilting,” which I had never tried before…I like the way it looks — not perfect seams etc.  It is a photo of leaves and berries in the fall in Ohio – hence:  “Savor the sunshine while it lasts.”  I used beads to embellish the berries and hand embroidered around the leaves.  This piece is 16″ X 13.”  It is machine pieced and top-stitched.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.
