Browneyed Susans

Blackeyed Susans 1I love Browneyed Susans…even though they are not the same flower as the wild flowers that grow along the roadsides in Kansas where I grew up, they remind me of those days.  I used one of my photographs of the flowers in my garden for the center and machine thread painted (free motion) and machine quilted this pillow top.  Embellished with buttons.  It is 16″ X 16.”

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.
