Intimacy (Gone to a new home.)

Intimacy edited
This piece was purchased by Bill M.  Other of my works will be at Toledo’s Downtown Latte for about four weeks starting Nov. 3, 2014.   Artist’s reception is Sat., Nov. 8, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Love to see you there.

This beautiful navy blue and black fabric called to me to make something about night.  I don’t know where the undies idea came from; but it would seem the owners don’t have them on, which brings to mind other activity.  Anyway, it is hand appliqued and machine quilted.  Free motion stitching created the moon and stars.   Beading  tops it off.   It’s 14″ X 13″.

Completed Sept. 30, 2014.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.
