The Seasons Through My Window

Seasons quilt april 2015This “QuiltToon” shows all the seasons of the year as I see them through my bedroom window.  The branches of our big willow tree and the window box tell the story — the pointsettia is, of course, inside the window, and the window box filled with snow.

I made this QuiltToon to satisfy two “challenges” — one for the local PRIZM show which is currently showing at the Fifth Third Building until June 3, 2015, and the other titled, ” Through the Seasons” for the Kaleidoscope of Quilts Show 2015, which is July 24 and 25, 2015 in Sylvania, Ohio.

It is made with fabric, thread, beads and painted with fabric paint.  Machine quilted and had embroidered.  The QuiltToon is approximately 30″ X 15.”  Completed April 2015.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.
