Alpaca Cutie

I bought some Alpaca fleece at Natural Fiber and Yarn Company in Grand Rapids, Ohio (it’s right on Main St.) the other day.  They had photos of their Alpacas in the shop and I couldn’t resist making this cute little face using the fleece.  I plan on giving it to my great-nephew, James, on his 17th birthday next week in Denver.  He loves farms and animals.

It is 9.5″ X 10.5 “.  All machine-made, except for hand-embroidered nose and mouth.  Fleece is glued on — I ended up with a lot of fleece glued to my fingers!

Completed June 2015.

About QuiltToonist

I'm a news junkie and have opinions about everything! I consider myself a folk artist because I have no formal art training and use the sewing skills I learned many moons ago to accomplish the fiber art I seem to have to express.

How cute….maybe I should hire you to do a “Horse” quilt!!!!! Are you for hire??? I’d have to think how I’d want it designed. Actually I have 2 very good friends that quilt (not as creative as you) that could probably teach me!!
