Tripping Down Maiden Lane

Toledo’s PRIZM Creative Community is sponsoring a project/exhibit in which artists and authors submit works for pairing up with others.  In other words, a visual artist chooses an author’s work and visa versa  and then does his/her own interpretation of that work.  I chose the following by author Judith Speizer Crandell entitled Tripping Down Maiden Lane: “Short, somewhat overweight and slow, a 34-year-old woman walked down a narrow lane, her body crisscrossed by two timeworn tablecloths held in place by safety pins and a man’s bathrobe sash while the woman was held in place by the mid-May wind.”  The works will be exhibited at the Main Library downtown Sept. 8 – Nov. 1, 2014.Beyond
