Obituaries – The Morning Ritual

At least four of my friends of a certain age — me, myself and I and Gordy —  confess to reading the obituaries every morning.   We both look for the ages and Gordy tries to figure out what the departed souls died from.    We are happy when the folks are at least 20 years older than we are.  I was talking to my husband about making a quilt about reading the obits and he said it was like Facebook for those who died; hence the QuiltToon.  It is 17″ X 17″.  Machine pieced and embroidered.  Hand appliqued.  Completed Nov. 1, 2010.

Purchased by Lynn Sojak March 12, 2011.
